In-Office MRI & Diagnostics
OrthoAspen is proud to offer in-office extremity MRI services in our Aspen Office.
We offer these services to provide a one-stop shop for your orthopaedic care. Our goal is to offer MRI services that are better, faster, and less expensive than the other MRI facilities in our area. In-office MRI was designed for patient convenience and comfort. Our in-office MRI is an open system, providing a more relaxed and comfortable exam. MRI is an essential tool to the orthopaedic surgeon. It provides a transparent view into the human body without using X-rays or invasive techniques.
BENEFITS TO IN-OFFICE MRI...
- Better ability to diagnose
- Improved patient service
- Increased patient convenience
- Better diagnostic service
WHAT IS MRI?
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a diagnostic technology that uses a strong magnet and radiofrequency waves to produce "images" of your internal organs and structures. Because MRI allows your doctor to see inside your body from any angle with great clarity, it is giving doctors a wealth of information more quickly and in many cases, more economically than past tests and exploratory surgeries.
WHAT CAN OUR IN-OFFICE MRI SCAN?
Our MRI is optimized to image the extremities. The system can scan the knee, calf, ankle, foot, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, and shoulder. The system is not capable of doing back or spine MRIs. The patient is comfortably located outside the machine with the injured extremity placed in the system for imaging.
WHO TYPICALLY USE AN IN-OFFICE MRI SYSTEM?
E-SCAN is the choice of leading-edge orthopaedic and radiology practices worldwide, including both solo practices and multi-physician groups. Universities, sports medicine practices, professional sports teams and diagnostic imaging centers have also been very successful introducing the In-Office MRI systems into their practices.
DO IN-OFFICE E-SCAN MRI SYSTEMS COMPARE TO OTHER SYSTEMS?
E-SCAN is designed and optimized for imaging extremities. Image quality and imaging times compare favorably with the same studies performed on whole-body imagers. Furthermore, patients are not subject to the claustrophobic reactions common to whole body imagers, since they remain outside the magnet at all times.
WHO WILL INTERPRET MY MRI?
Both your orthopaedic surgeon and a musculoskeletal radiologist will review your MRI. OrthoAspen transmits its digital MRI scans rapidly and securely over the Radiology Imagine Associates, PC, a world-class teleradiology practice, for the most accurate diagnosis. The physicians of Radiology Imagine Associates, PC are highly experienced orthopedic MRI readers recruited from leading academic centers of excellence.
HOW DO I SCHEDULE MY MRI?
The staff at OrthoAspen will assist you in scheduling your MRI at a time that is convenient for you. Each MRI takes about 45 minutes to an hour.
